Thread: Opinions on wat logo's should look like.?

In my opinion logo's should be built upon lots of layers, background looks better i think is it's slightly 3D to give it extra effect. their should also be an image and then an unusual font.

Logo's should be different and give a feel for you website, signature and company.

What's your opinion.?

In my opinion, logos should be based around a solid idea.. not so much about how many layers.. sure it'll need some good effects to make it stand out, but it needs a solid foundation first and most importantly.

I think people often try too hard to make their logos unique, and in the process, make them look way overdone. I personally think they should stay simple, but not so simple that it doesn't express the point of the company/website. If you put so much effort into making it look snazzy and all, you might forget the point of the logo. I can't give much insight as to how they should be designed, as I'm new to graphic design, but there's my logical input.

Yeh i agree, but i think it depends on the company and wat your designing on how you go about doing it.

It also depends on what the company's criteria is and what their likes and or dislikes are.
In the end, it'll be the company in which decides if they like it or not so our job is simply to satisfy.

Yeh....But the logo is a pretty important type of a site, because it's got to look good :P to entice customers.
