Thread: Some little things

Did this for a school play:



and just a quick thing i did:



(i know that the fans are kinda sketch.. but i didnt really have much time also michaels hands are a little weird.. im no pro at the pen tool.)


What do you think?

I really like the school poster. It looks very well done. Keep in mind that I'm no graphics designer, so maybe my opinion isn't very 'informed'. Let's see if I can provide any constructive criticism about the second image, which I personally don't like that much.

The first thing I noticed was how badly the 'cartoon'-esque style of Jordan shows against the background of black and white [real] people. Another thing is the "in it" is drastically smaller in comparison to the large text. I had to search for the ending of the sentence.. I think it should have been apparent.

I apologise if my criticism wasn't helpful or appeared 'rude'. Like I said, I'm a huge newbie at graphics design. This is what my untrained eye sees.

Yeah, I wish I had a drawing tablet so I could've made michael look more realistic but the whole point of drawing him was so it was "art"..
and if I had a choice, I would not of put "in it" on the poster but it was the rules of the contest and I did not want it to get much attention drawn to it.
